Once the student has taken a class, he can email me any questions that he has and I will attempt to answer them for free.
We are here to promote safe gun handling and knowledge, in hopes that it will keep some gun accidents from happening. The number one cause of gun accidents is Ignorance and Carelessness. The number one rule, I would like everyone to understand is that any time you hand a person a gun no matter the kind, the gun is unloaded the magazine or clip is removed and the action is locked open. We all love and enjoy our guns and like showing them to our friends. If you hand a gun to a person with a full magazine And they rack a round into the chamber and the gun fires you are asking for a lawsuit.
Rule Number One Before you handle a gun check to make sure it's unloaded by removing the magazine or clip opening the action and visually inspecting the chamber. Rule Number Two when you present a gun to another person you will Remove the magazine or clip, You will open the action or bolt. You will then show them that the weapon is empty before handing it to them. And if you do give them a clip it will be empty. This is Done without Exception.
For those folks that trail ride in the mountains for pleasure and for the people that compete in Equestrian events. I strongly suggest acquiring a concealed carry permit. On a trail ride in the Rocky Mountains you can meet up with many kinds of predators not only mountain lions and bears, but human predators as well. This also goes for the people that are competing in some of our inner cities. In your travels you may find your self in the wrong part of town or spending the night in a roadside park, it is very comforting to know that you can defend yourself if the situation arises.
